1. Tap OK when Android asks
The first time you connect, Android asks if Fortis may set up a VPN. Tap OK. If you tapped Cancel, tap the power button again and choose OK.
2. Stop battery saving for Fortis
Many phones close apps in the background to save battery. Open your phone's Settings, then Apps, Fortis VPN, Battery, and choose Unrestricted.
3. Keep Fortis notifications on
Android needs the Fortis notification to keep the VPN running. Open Settings, then Apps, Fortis VPN, Notifications, and turn them on.
4. Remove other VPN apps
Only one VPN can run at a time. See Another VPN is interfering.
5. Change the protocol
Choose OpenVPN (TCP 443) and connect again. See Change the VPN protocol.
6. Reinstall Fortis
Uninstall Fortis, restart your phone, and install it again.
